Felix Rühling, the mastermind behind both Xelif and Boomrush Backup, sheds light on the duality of his artistic identity. He shares, “For me, Xelif and Boomrush Backup represent two sides of the same coin. Boomrush Backup has been the backbone of my musical journey for the past 17 years. As a reggae backing band, we have worked with countless national and international reggae artists. However, my musical palette extends far beyond reggae, encompassing influences from classical training, African gospel vocals, salsa rhythms, to rock and pop guitar. These diverse experiences collectively shape my musical identity.”
