Andy Michaels – Just Because You Love Someone

Published by Radio Point on

Genre(s): Easy Listening / Pop / Adult Contemporary

Andy and Kerrie are entwined in this Duet– the way these two sets of sounds & vocalists complement each other once again speaks to the level of insight in the songwriting & vision itself.
The string sounds are gorgeously emotional in the background, reflecting the lyricism that drifts between its melancholy-yet-realistic vibe. Andy actually reminds significantly of Peter Gabriel when it comes to his tone and expression in his vocals.
The way that Kerrie & Andy trade the microphone between them and approach their lines gives the song the cadence and cohesion in the melody. It speaks a lot to the poetic composition of Andy’s lyrics, but also to the strength of the idea & performance on “Just Because You Love Someone,” because everything comes out sounding insightfully smooth.

Although his works are constantly compared with modern contemporary artists “The Script”, “James Blunt” and “Maroon 5”, as well as international Legends Cat Stevens and Neil Young, his arrangements and music are also reminiscent of Cold Play, Pink Floyd and Peter Gabriel.

His voice is unique and gives passion and vitality to all his songs and for added soul inspiring impact, on several songs he also enlisted the amazing vocal talent of UK born Kerrie Ironside.
