## Αναλογικά synths και φυσικά όργανα

Από τη μία πλευρά βρίσκονται τα αναλογικά synthesizers, τα sequencers και τα club grooves. Από την άλλη, φυσικά όργανα όπως το sitar, το όμποε, το σαξόφωνο, το φλάουτο, το κλαρινέτο, το ακορντεόν και τα πνευστά μπάντας προσθέτουν οργανικότητα και φυσική παρουσία.

Η αντίθεση αυτή επιτρέπει στον MaxNeri να συνδέει το σύγχρονο ηλεκτρονικό τοπίο με μια παλαιότερη ευρωπαϊκή παράδοση παραγωγής, στην οποία η μελωδία και η προσεγμένη χρήση του αναλογικού ήχου είχαν εξίσου σημαντικό ρόλο με τον ρυθμό.

## Δεκαπέντε διαφορετικοί προορισμοί

Το “Pulso Dourado” μεταφέρει τη θερμότητα και τον ρυθμό της Βραζιλίας, ενώ το “Before the Sunrise” κοιτάζει προς μια περισσότερο συναισθηματική ηλεκτρονική αυγή.

Το “Non torno più” συνδέεται με την ελευθερία της θάλασσας, το “Cor’e’Mar” με τη μεσογειακή παράδοση και το “Mo’ sona la festa” με τη γιορτινή και ανυπότακτη ενέργεια του ιταλικού Νότου.

Το *Universal* δεν λειτουργεί ως μια απλή συλλογή ανεξάρτητων singles. Παρουσιάζεται ως ένα ενιαίο ταξίδι που ξεκινά από το σώμα και τον ρυθμό και περνά από τη θάλασσα, τη νύχτα, την πόλη, τη γιορτή και την ανάμνηση, πριν φτάσει στον ανοιχτό ορίζοντα του επόμενου προορισμού.

MaxNeri – “Universal”: 15 Electronic Routes from the Mediterranean to the World

Italian DJ and producer **MaxNeri** presents his new album, *Universal*, a multilingual and multifaceted electronic work that approaches music as a journey through places, rhythms and cultures.

Featuring fifteen tracks and a production style that moves from Afro house and melodic techno to electropop, nu-disco and world music influences, the album seeks to transform the dancefloor into an open musical map.

## Many languages, one shared frequency

Language is a fundamental part of the identity of *Universal*.

Italian, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, the Salento dialect and Neapolitan influences coexist within the same musical architecture, giving each track its own character and geographical direction.

Neuma, Nasha, Margot, Leonor and Élen Virel do not appear simply as conventional guest vocalists. Each voice represents a different language, atmosphere and idea of movement.

Neuma expresses the album’s more nocturnal, introspective electronic side. Nasha brings Mediterranean warmth and mantra-like elements, while Margot connects the Italian language with the body, the sea and the spirit of celebration. Leonor and Élen Virel open the way towards the album’s Portuguese-speaking and French-speaking dimensions.

## Analog synths and acoustic instruments

The production of *Universal* is built around the meeting of two different worlds.

On one side are analog synthesizers, sequencers and club grooves. On the other, acoustic instruments such as sitar, oboe, saxophone, flute, clarinet, accordion and brass band instruments add an organic and physical presence.

This contrast allows MaxNeri to connect the contemporary electronic landscape with an earlier European production tradition, in which melody and the careful use of analog sound were considered just as important as rhythm.

## Fifteen different destinations

Each track functions as a separate stop along the journey.

“Pulso Dourado” carries the warmth and rhythm of Brazil, while “Before the Sunrise” looks towards a more emotional electronic dawn.

“Non torno più” is connected to the freedom of the sea, “Cor’e’Mar” to Mediterranean tradition, and “Mo’ sona la festa” to the celebratory and rebellious energy of Southern Italy.

The album closes with “To the Desert”, a hypnotic and cinematic finale that takes the journey away from the city and the dancefloor.

## Electronic music with roots

At the centre of *Universal* lies a question that concerns much of contemporary electronic music: how can an artist develop an international sound without losing their personal and cultural origins?

MaxNeri’s answer can be found in the connection between technology and melody, club rhythms and the human voice, synthetic sounds and acoustic instruments.

*Universal* does not function as a simple collection of unrelated singles. It is presented as a unified journey that begins with the body and rhythm, passes through the sea, the night, the city, celebration and memory, before reaching the open horizon of its next destination.
